SEPTEMBER KEY POINTS
FINAL DEMAND (EXCL. EXPORTS)
- rose 0.9% in the September quarter 2015.
- mainly due to rises in the prices received for building construction (+0.7%), computer and electronic equipment manufacturing (+3.7%) and sheep, beef cattle grain farming and dairy farming (+14.0%).
- partly offset by falls in the prices received for petroleum refining and petroleum fuel manufacturing (–8.9%) and electricity, gas and water supply (–1.1%).
- rose 1.7% through the year to the September quarter 2015.
INTERMEDIATE DEMAND
- rose 0.7% in the September quarter 2015.
- mainly due to rises in the prices received for textile, clothing, footwear and leather manufacturing (+4.3%) and sheep, beef cattle grain farming and dairy farming (+8.8%).
- partly offset by falls in the prices received for electricity, gas and water supply (–3.0%) and petroleum refining and petroleum fuel manufacturing (–9.0%).
- rose 0.9% through the year to the September quarter 2015.
PRELIMINARY DEMAND
- rose 0.6% in the September quarter 2015.
- mainly due to rises in the prices received for textile, clothing, footwear and leather manufacturing (+4.1%) and sheep, beef cattle grain farming and dairy farming (+8.9%).
- partly offset by falls in the prices received for electricity, gas and water supply (–3.1%) and oil and gas extraction (–11.1%).

From the December quarter 2015, the Producer Price Index, Australia (cat. no. 6427.0) publication will no longer publish a series for ANZSIC 1891 Photographic Chemical Product Manufacturing in Table 12. Output of the Manufacturing industries, division, subdivision, group and class index numbers.
